Dorsey Trivia:

In 1936, Bing Crosby recorded "Pennies From Heaven" with The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra and the song was number one for ten weeks.  In 1957, shortly before his passing, Jimmy's song, "So Rare" hit number 2 and remained on the charts for 26 weeks - the highest-rated big band song of the fledgling Rock 'N Roll era.
